The Race: The WV 5K Championship is a USATF-Certified 5K race starting and ending on Veteran’s Memorial Blvd. in Huntington, WV. The Course: The 5K Race will start between 8th and 9th St on Veteran’s Memorial Blvd. > west on the Blvd. > left at 1st St. > left on 5th Ave> left again on Hal Greer Blvd. >left on 3rd Ave. > Right onto Veteran’s Memorial Blvd > Finish at 10th St. USATF Course #: WV09002MS Cup Competition: Teams enter under their organization’s name. The top 5 finishers for each team will score and be eligible for team awards. (All Cup entries must be completed before Race Day, NO RACE DAY ENTRIES for Cup Competition) Uniform Cup – Are you a man/woman in uniform (Firefighter, Police, Military, etc.)? Let’s get together and see who is the fastest! Corporate Cup – Which Business / organization has the fittest/fastest runners in the area? Prayer Cup – Who has the most Divine Intervention to get them to the finish line first? (Religious Affiliation) Walkers Welcome: The WV 5K Championship welcomes and encourages walkers. Enjoy downtown Huntington while getting fit. Facilities: Restrooms are available at the start/finish area in Pullman Square and in Harris Riverfront Park. One water stop will be available half-way through the race. Medical care is also available.
